Precise analysis for different shape of Algae

Based on the research of algae, the technology of directional algae bioremediation is purposefully used in the production of health food, medicine and feed, and improvement of water environment. It plays an important role in promoting algae breeding, improving human health and protecting water environment.

Countstar® BioMarine can automatically calculate the concentration, major axis length and minor axis length of algae and generate the algae growth curve, reflecting the growth of the algae.

The shapes of algae, such as circular, crescent, filamentous and fusiform, may differ in thousands of ways. The measurement parameters preset in Countstar® BioMarine for different shapes of algae are applicable to most varieties. As for some special algae, parameter settings is provided. Through convenient parameter settings, parameters for special algae may be set in Countstar® BioMarine, which will become the perfect assistant for experiments.

When a mixed culture of a variety of alga is required, one kind of algae is often chosen for concentration measurement. The advanced software system of Countstar® BioMarine can count algae cell size separately. For example, in the case of a mixed culture of filamentous algae and spherical algae, different parameters can be set so that Countstar Algae can identify filamentous algae and spherical algae separately.

To know the biomass of algae is basic for algae research. The traditional methods for analyzing biomass are Determination of the content of chlorophyll A – Accurate but complicated and time-consuming procedure. Spectrophotography – Need to use supersonic to destroy algae, not stable result and time-consuming.
